A pale, gray sky hung dully over the vast concrete jungle that encompassed West City. Sunlight managed to filter through the drab sky when it could, but for the most part the sky foreshadowed a dreary day. Business in the city was rather slow today, this being rather atypical especially considering the fact that Capsule Corporation called West City its home. Ever since Dr. Briefs had succeeded in outproducing the Red Ribbon Army. A slight breeze had kicked up causing loose newspaper and other debris to roll across the cityscape. There was a couple having an argument on the sidewalk beside the main access road to the Capsule Corporation. Cars were traveling to and fro freely, people were moving along on their daily commute. Many people were on the sidewalks briskly walking to their places of employment or wherever they needed to go, when a small child whom was with his mother looked skyward. His left hand was firmly clasped in his mother's and with his free hand he pointed towards the sky, beckoning his mother to look as well. There was a small speck of some type, moving at incredible speeds there, and with each passing moment in seemed to grow larger. The mother insisted it was nothing, and pulled the child along even though his eyes remained affixed on that speck, as it neared close every second. Eventually they slipped inside of a building just as the boy was assured he could make out the shape of the unknown object. Little did that Mother know, that after she entered that building many other people stopped, and looked to the sky as well.
"Well, hey, what do you think that thing is?"
Puzzled travelers only had a few more seconds to speculate before that speck became a reality. To the untrained eye it was a blur, a cylinder struck into the center of the street, piercing a huge hole in the pavement. The circumference spreading well into the sidewalks and under the foundations of most buildings. It was all slow motion for that figure however. The pure shockwaves that radiated from the impact flipped over the hover cars that were traveling along the road. Parking meters were uprooted and embedded in nearby buildings, people were tossed about like ragdolls, and general chaos ensued. When the dust settled those who had not been injured gathered around the crater, peering into its depths. At first, everything was relatively calm and many assumed they were simply plagued by a meteor strike. A moment passed, and huge upward thrust of energy sent all those gathered round upon their backs. A large humanoid figure soon levitated from the black depths. Clad in golden boots adorned with sapphire jewels, white baggy slacks with a maroon cloth over top of it, he was a physical specimen. He wore nothing to cover his upper body, but instead bore more golden jewelry 'round his neck and arms. Long, black hair fell from his scalp, and his face bore a robotic, emotionless gaze. He descended upon the ground, boots tapping lightly as he immediately begin to take long strides in the direction of Capsule Corp. One of the city dwellers immediately recognized who this person one, and while pinned under a recently detached wheel of a vehicle he called out the figure's name.
"...Broly..It's..BROLY!"
Terror filled those who had stuck around to see the monstrosity that was Broly. Waves of people fled from his path, streaming away from him in an unorganized mob. Panic gripped the city, but it did not seem to bother the Saiyan, who simply continued on his path to the Capsule Corporation, unhindered by anyone. That however soon changed as the screeching sirens of police could soon be heard. Two hover cars stopped several yards in front of Broly, forming a barrier as the officers stepped out of the cars, weapons drawn. They demanded that Broly cease and desist, and leave West City. There calls fell upon deaf ears. They opened fire, bullets pinging off of the muscular form of the Saiyan as if he was clad in a titanium armor. His pace did not quicken, and in due time he reached the two cars and with his left hand swatted both of them away. They collided with each other in mid air and exploded a few seconds later. The police officers, distraught by his power fled just like everyone else. Broly emitted a low grunt, as he passed into the ground of Capsule Corp. The ground shifted from the black pavement to large, finely crafted white tiles. Capsule Corp was well taken care of and it looked the part of a successful business. Broly continued on his rather snail like pace to a large, white capsule which rested in the middle of one of the green yards of the grounds. The few scientists that realized who was coming turned and fled into their respective buildings. Coincidentally just as Broly was nearing the desired Capsule, Dr. Briefs emerged from it. He had just finished tinkering with the gravitron. Dr. Briefs nearly fell over when he saw Broly, and broke out into a heavy sweat. Broly approached him first, Brief only came to about mid naval on the massive Saiyan.
"You will open this gravitron, and allow me to train Dr. Briefs."
"Why..uh..yes..of..course Broly. I just finished tinkering with it, go right ahead!"
Briefs forced a fake smile before inching out of the way. The large hatch opened, and Broly stepped inside of the massive dome. Red tiles layered the ceiling and floor. The concave walls were bright white, with small teal windows all along the side. Broly approached the central terminal. Large hands awkwardly moved across the keyboard as he programmed the machine for one hundred times Earth's natural gravity. Broly had never gravity trained before, and did not know how this would affect him. He backed away from the terminal as the machine began to read off the specifications and how the program would proceed. The bright white light shifted to a dark crimson, showering the room in a blood haze as the final five second countdown occurred. As the gravity enacted, it nearly floored Broly. He doubled over, one of his legs slipping out as he was forced to take a knee. This was much more difficult that he had expected. He grunted some more, before being able to rise up. He head broken out into a heavy sweat, breathing was quite raspy at the time as well. A few minutes were spent just being acclimated to the new conditions, and eventually Broly felt well enough to begin training. He started off rather lightly with several different types of exercises. He completed over ten thousand push ups, sit ups, and using a nearby bar, chin ups as well. He felt rather warmed up, and he progressed to actually punching and kicking inside of the dome. Broly flexed, as the gravity continually wore on him. A green aura enveloped him as he heightened the intensity of his training. Eventually several small robots entered the arena hovering around Broly. One fired a ki blasts, and the others activated their reflective energy shields, the blast ricocheting about. Eventually it was aimed towards Broly, who instead of attempting to dodge merely laughed as is exploded on his chest, doing no visible damage to the Saiyan. A few moments later and all of the robots were crushed and lay harmless on the floor. Broly was quite fatigued by the end of this session and as the gravity faded, he exited the building quite exhausted. He didn't waste anytime ascending into the air, blasting off the same way he came. The same little boy who saw him the first time recognized the speck, pointing it out to his mother who was still in shock from the damage Broly had caused when he landed..
